    Description

    AT-LP8X

Audio-Technica expands its line of direct-drive turntables with the semi-automatic AT-LP8X, featuring a newly designed tonearm lift that automatically raises the tonearm at the end of a record side and stops the motor.

The turntable’s J-shaped aluminum tonearm, inspired by classic A-T models of the 1960s and ’70s, comes equipped with a newly designed AT-LT10 headshell and AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge with 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, providing excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. For easy customization, the stylus can be replaced or interchanged with any of the five additional styli in the VM95 line, and the tonearm’s VTA (vertical tracking angle) adjustment and subcounterweight enable the use of a broad range of other cartridges.

The AT-LP8X plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 RPM records. Its 25 mm rubber-damped, anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum platter comes with a 2.5 mm rubber mat and is driven by a sensor-monitored motor that ensures a continuously accurate platter rotation speed. The motor and its efficient internal switching power supply are housed within a box plinth constructed of 16 mm MDF (medium density fiberboard) and equipped with height-adjustable feet for excellent protection against unwanted noise and vibration.

The turntable comes with a detachable RCA output cable (dual RCA male to dual RCA male with ground), 45 RPM adapter, and removable hinged dust cover.

    Highest Quality Sound for Everyone
    Our Story
In the early 1960s at Tokyo's Bridgestone

Museum of Art, curator Hideo Matsushita hosted

LP listening concerts, where people would

experience vinyl records played on high-quality

audio equipment. Matsushita was moved by the

positive reactions guests had to the music, but

was frustrated that the expense of high-fidelity

    listening prevented many people from
    experiencing it.

    In 1962,Matsushita founded Audio-Technica

with the vision of producing high-quality audio

for everyone. And following this vision, he soon

created the first truly affordable phono cartridge
the AT1, in the company's small flat in Shinjuku.
    Tokyo.
