The Fosi Audio V3 redefines the capabilities of a compact desktop amplifier. Utilizing the cutting-edge Texas Instruments TPA3255 Class D chip, the V3 delivers immense power, exceptional efficiency, and pristine audio quality, making it the perfect choice for driving demanding passive speakers in a desktop, bookshelf, or small room setup.
The V3 is engineered around a powerful architecture to achieve clean, high-wattage output.
The V3 employs the renowned Texas Instruments TPA3255 high-efficiency Class D amplifier chip. This core component enables the V3 to deliver substantial power while maintaining extremely low distortion across its operational range.
With the capability to deliver up to 300 Watts of power per channel into a 4Ω load (when using a strong power supply), the Fosi Audio V3 can effortlessly drive large, low-sensitivity, or power-hungry passive speakers with excellent dynamic control and punch.
The V3 offers features typically found on more expensive audiophile equipment, allowing users to tailor the sound.
A standout feature is the ability to easily swap or "roll" the operational amplifiers (Op-Amps). This allows enthusiasts to experiment with different Op-Amp chips to subtly adjust the amplifier's sonic signature and match their personal listening preferences.
The V3 is built with premium components, including Wurth inductors, Nichicon capacitors, and WIMA film capacitors, ensuring long-term reliability and contributing to its excellent sound reproduction quality.
Compact Form Factor: The V3 maintains an incredibly small footprint, allowing it to integrate seamlessly onto a crowded desk or bookshelf without sacrificing performance.
Volume and Tone Controls: Features a smooth, tactile volume control knob on the front panel for easy manual adjustment.
Simple Analog Input: The amplifier provides a standard RCA analog input, allowing easy connection to any external DAC, preamp, or audio source.
A debut Class D audio amplifier with PFFB technology to significantly improve sound purity
and system efficiency, offering a flexible solution to your home audio system.

The three op-amps in the V3 Mono serve distinct functions: Position 1 converts the RCA unbalanced signal to a balanced signal, while positions 2 and 3 adjust the tone. lf you're considering replacing an op-amp, it's recommended to start with the one in position 2. Replacing both the op-amps in positions 2 and 3 will have a more noticeable effect. Users can try swapping different op-amps to experience changes in sound quality.
It supports DIP8 dual op-amps. We highly recommend the op-amp available through the following link: https://fosiaudio.com/products/op-amp-chip-muses02-opa2604ap-opa2134pa?_pos=20&_sid=71ca24042&_ss=r
Using different op-amps can result in various sound signatures. Please refer to the video via the link: https://youtu.be/jtK9oYZ_XoI
Check if the LED is out of position after swapping the op-amp. Open the unit and align the LED correctly.
1. Function Troubleshooting
- Ensure all wiring is correct (connect the positive speaker wire to the amplifier’s positive terminal, the negative to the negative terminal, and make sure the speaker wires do not touch each other, as this could cause a short circuit and potentially damage the amplifier). ---In AUTO mode, if no signal is detected for 10 minutes, the V3 MONO will automatically enter standby mode to save energy, and will reactivate upon detecting a signal, combining convenience with energy efficiency. Ensure a stable signal connection.
2. Heat Dissipation
- It is recommended to use V3 MONO within the rated power range to avoid overheating. (Rated Power 240W, Maximum Power 300W) --- Place V3 MONO in a cool and ventilated working environment.
- Use a cooling fan with V3 MONO to achieve effective heat dissipation. It can attach an aluminum heat sink to the top with a thermo-transferring adhesive.
3. Audio Sound Quality:
- Audio Quality: Different audio source qualities affect the sound quality. It is recommended to use high-quality, lossless audio files, such as FLAC, WAV and other formats, to obtain a better sound quality experience. V3 MONO supports impedance of 4-8Ω. Speaker impedance that is too low or too high will cause unstable amplifier output and affect the sound quality performance.--- Please replace with a high-quality RCA cable with good shielding to prevent noise.
- Sound Volume: The V3 Mono is a pure power amplifier with no volume control or knobs. It has a gain of 19 dB / 25 dB for RCA inputs and a fixed gain of 20 dB for XLR inputs. It can be adjusted to above 19dB to increase the volume and output power.
4. Compatibility:
- NOT Compatible: Active Subwoofer, Bass Shaker, Bass Audio,Bluetooth, USB/COA/OPT decoding amplifier, and does not support headphone amplifiers.--- Suggest Burson V7 Vivid opamps with soft extension cable.
