    Fully Differential 24-Bit R2R Array

    Unlike standard DACs that use delta-sigma modulation, the K11 R2R employs FiiO's self-developed four-channel fully differential 24-bit resistor array. This consists of 48 precision resistors per channel (192 total) with 0.1% accuracy and low temperature drift. The result is a sound that feels more "real" and less "processed," with rich vocals and dense mids.

    What is the difference between K11 (Standard) and K11 R2R?

    The Standard K11 uses a CS43198 chip for a clean, modern, and detailed sound. The K11 R2R uses a resistor array for a warmer, smoother, and more "analog" sound. If you prefer vocals and jazz, choose the R2R. If you prefer pop and fast electronic music, the Standard K11 might be better.

    Does it heat up?

    R2R circuits involve many resistors handling current, so the unit will run slightly warmer than chip-based DACs. This is normal and within safe operating limits.

    Specially-designed audio circuit

    The audio signal is transmitted via a USB interface processor to a digital audio bridge. After being processed by an FPGA, it issent to the R2R DAC for 4-channel output after decoding. Then, it passes through two Ti OPA1642 op-amps for low-passfiltening and single-ended analog signal converting, and transmits to the Nyw1195A electronic volume control chip for precisevolume adjustment. The output stage uses two SGM8262 op-amps for 4 way phase inversion and amplificaion, resulting inoutputs of singed-ended and balanced analog sianals.
    The audio circuit features galin controls. it is complemented by a specially-designed headphone protection circut and a popnoise elimination system, ensuring the audio circuit is both high quality in sound produced and reliable.
