Note: Under the USB decoding mode, long pressing the volume up/down buttons to switch songs and pressing the play button to pause will not work in the USB exclusive mode.
[Menu Operation explained]
1. Activate menu:
When the device powers on and not on the menu page, hold the knob button for about 2s.
2. Exit menu:
On the menu page, hold the knob button for about 2s.
3. Return to the previous menu step by step:
On the menu page, short press the knob button or short press knob button after switching to return icon.
4. Confirm menu:
On the menu page, short press the knob button to confirm.
5. Switch menu:
On the menu page, rotate the volume knob to switch submenus.

1.Gain
The BTR17 supports H /L two levels of gains
2. Filter
There are 7 different filters built in the BTR17 for your preference. Filters are the sound effects born with the chip, which only has slight adjustments for the sound. Here are some introductions to some filters. These are only for reference since actual listening also has something to do with the matched device.
Mini: Minimum phase (default)
Conventional minimum phase filter. No front ringing, but very large rear ringing.
Fast-A: Linear phase fast roll-off apodizing
Linear phase filters incorporating special window functions to optimize transient response - Theoretical
Fast: Linear phase fast roll-off
Traditional linear phase filter. Symmetrical ringing, audio DACs from 20 years ago were mainstream defaults for this filter.
Fast-R: Linear phase fast roll-off low ripple
Conventional linear phase filters that reduce some ripple.
Slow: Linear phase slow roll-off
Conventional linear phase filters with almost no filtering
Mini-F: Minimum phase fast roll-off
Approximates a "conventional minimum phase filter", trading ripple for faster roll-off.
Mini-S: Minimum phase slow roll-off
This filter is recommended if the song is at a high sample rate, e.g. ≥ 176.4kHz.
3.PEQ mode
7 presets+3 user EQ are supported: JAZZ POP ROCK DANCE USER R&B CLASSICAL HIP-HOP. You could set the custom User EQ via the FiiO Control APP. 10 custom User EQ are supported.
Bypass: When swtiching EQ from Bypass to other EQ, the music will not pause.
OFF: When switching EQ from OFF to other EQ, the music will pause.
4.Max volume
Maximum volume limit
You can limit a maximum volume value, to avoid accidentally adjusting the volume for damaging hearing.
5.CHG protection
Charging protection
ON: When the battery is charged to 80%, the USB will stop charging the battery, but will still provide power for the system.
OFF (by default): The USB will charge the battery and provide power for the system.
6. Brightness
Adjust screen brightness level: 1~5
7. Screen timeout
Set the BTR17 screen off after the specified time of non-operation, you can set the time range: 5s-30s
8. Car mode
Enable or disable the car mode on the menu. When the car mode is enabled and the BTR17 is off, it will automatically turn on after inserting a USB, and will automatically turn off after unplugging the USB if the BTR17 is on. The Car mode can be enabled or disabled based on different use scenarios.
9. UAC mode
Switch between UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0 mode.
UAC1.0: Driver Free mode under USB 1.0
UAC2.0: High bit rate transfer mode under USB2.0
10. Language/语言
Switch between Chinese and English
(The language selection page will show when turning on the first time or after factory reset. )
11. Factory reset
Short press the volume knob to enter the menu. Select YES on the menu to factory reset the BTR17.
12. Version
Check the firmware version of BTR17
